National consultation on “Elimination of Hazardous Child Labour: SDGs and Way Forward” held at BRAC INN, Dhaka on 19 April 2016. Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu, MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Labour and Employment, was present as Chief Guest while Dr. Tofail Ahmed, Director-Governance of MJF was present as special Guest. The keynote paper was presented by Dr. Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian, Associate Professor, Department of Law, University of Dhaka. Mr. Md. Emranul Huq Chowdhury, Chairperson of BSAF and lead of the Ending Child Labour consortium chaired the program.

12 January 2016, Global March Against Child Labour, one of the partners of Bangladesh Shishu Adhikar Forum, organized The Asia Regional Capacity Building Workshop on Children’s Rights & SDGs held at New Delhi, India from 12 to 13 January 2016.

A total 33 participants from 11 nations attended the event held at the Secretariat of Global March Against Child labour. Nobel laureate Mr. Kailash Sattyarthi spoke on the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the 2 day event. Among others H.E. the Ambassador of the Royal Dutch Embassy in India, the acting Chief of UNICEF in India and high official of UNDP in Delhi spoke on the occasion.
Mr. Abdus Shahid Mahmood, Director of BSAF attended the workshop and spoke about BSAF and its role & strategy in the plenary session.
